My Experience with Capitalism (United States)

Hello, my name is Azar. I'm a 35 year old man and I moved to the United States a few years ago looking for hope. My old country of Afghanistan was a war zone, and I had to get out. What I heard about the United States which made me leave was that people were saying that great opportunity existed in the United Sates due to it's capitalist society. People were completely wrong. The United States had nothing but a $5 bottle of water and an unemployment rate of 7%. I got a job as a cashier for a local gas station making money just over minimum wage. It's ridiculous to think people are making millions of dollars and I'm here making dirt. I wish I never came to America. I knew a Socialist country would have been a better bet.

Hello! I'm a 16 year old girl from the beautiful country of India. My name is Amala and I live in a socialist society that has changed my life for good. I've gone through a lot and this is the best I've ever been in years. Socialism grew very quickly in popularity in this country. The socialist movement largely developed India since it was originally adopted here. The way my parents have described the difference between life in India now to life in India back then has really interested me. My Experience with Socialism (Netherlands)

Hello, I'm a 15 year old boy named Francis from the one and only Netherlands. I am the one who created this blog to learn about other people and their thoughts on socialism. Over the past few years, our country has suffered from great depression due to capitalism. The rich business moguls took over the economy. It took some time to finally create a socialist system but when it was created, good stuff started happening. The amount of rich owners started to fall and the amount of poor workers started to rise. One of the best things that ever happened to me and my family was socialism. In this socialist society, not only are we viewed as equal but are offered social welfare which has been beneficial.
