My Experience with Socialism (Netherlands)

Hello, I'm a 15 year old boy named Francis from the one and only Netherlands. I am the one who created this blog to learn about other people and their thoughts on socialism. Over the past few years, our country has suffered from great depression due to capitalism. The rich business moguls took over the economy. It took some time to finally create a socialist system but when it was created, good stuff started happening. The amount of rich owners started to fall and the amount of poor workers started to rise. One of the best things that ever happened to me and my family was socialism. In this socialist society, not only are we viewed as equal but are offered social welfare which has been beneficial. Overall, anyone can benefit from a socialist society. Comment on this post so I can hear your opinions also!

Capitalist Cody here. I don't really agree what your saying about socialism. In my country, capitalism has worked indefinitely. There is an upper and lower class that is working just fine. Isn't that what a society should consist of?

Hello. In a capitalist society, there is a rich, and a poor. If you ask anyone, socialism is the ideal economic system to maintain equality for money, rights and many others. In a socialist society everyone has equal ownership which means no one is ever left out. I think your country should adopt socialism due to its wide range of benefits. Aren't you annoyed of all the money hungry people?

Hello there. Am I a socialist if I talk to a lot of people? I mean... that would make me socially active, so I could most definitely be classified as a socialist. Right?

No, no, and no. Didn't you read the front page of this blog? The definition of socialism is right there. Socialism is the economic organization in a society made up by social ownership of production and co-operative management throughout the economy. Being socially active does not make you socialist. Nice try though!

Just for your information... Socialism has benefits such as social welfare, having say in a business, equal ownership, and equal wealth between social classes.
